How to index a URL in Google Search Console

This guide will show you how to submit a URL and request indexation via Google Search Console.

If a URL is online on a website but not yet indexed, it means that this particular URL cannot be found on the Google search engine via a search query.

If a URL is not indexed and visible in the search results on Google, then the outgoing links from online on this particular URL will not provide any effect.

If a URL is not indexed, we must fix it and request Google to index it. This is primarily done via the online webmaster tool Google Search Console.

Please follow these instructions to index a URL:

  1. Login to your GSC account.
  1. After successfully logging into GSC, you need to locate the specific website for which you need to index an individual URL or multiple URLs. In this example, we will use the website takiro-pj.com. If the website is not present in your GSC account, you need to add it to take advantage of the indexation procedure.
  1. Insert the URL in the top-left search field called “Search property.” Then, click on the website to select it.
  1. You will now see the standard overview of GSC. On the left menu, click on URL inspection. In the top search field, insert the URL you wish to index. In this example, we use this URL:

https://takiro-pj.com/オンラインカジノ/バカラカジノがなぜ日本人に人気?

  1. GSC will tell you if the URL is indexed or not. In this example, the URL is not on Google, i.e. it is not indexed. Click on the link called Request Indexing. You have now successfully submitted the URL to Google for indexing. This process will take some time, and please be mindful that it will not speed up the process to submit the same URL multiple times – it can have an adverse effect.

Record the URLs you have submitted via GSC for indexing and wait 2-4 days before rechecking these URLs’ status. Hopefully, these should be indexed now. If the URLs are still reported as “is not on Google, ” we suggest you use a third-party tool like IndexMeNow.com.
